Orugbo Bags Rotary Award As Community Leader of the Year, Congratulates Goru on His Installation as 2nd President, Rotary Club of Nigeria, Plantation City.
The People’s friendly Chairman of the PDP Ward 03, well described as the ‘Chairman with a difference’, Chief Friday Akpokomuayen Orugbo has bagged an Award of Recognition from the Rotary Club of Nigeria, Plantation City Chapter as the ‘Community Leader of the Year’ for his tremendous support for Grassroots Development.
The award was presented by the Newly installed President of the Club, Rotarian Karo Goru at his Installation Ceremony as the second President of the club on Sunday, 21st of November 2021, at Plantation City, Otokutu, Delta State.
While presenting the award, RTN Karo Goru applauded the Udu PDP Ward 03 Chairman for standing out tall, thereby deserving such award. In his words, the Rotarian stated that the Rotary club looks out for the best, and awards deserving citizens for their contributions towards societal growth. “It is on this note we are awarding Chief Friday A. Orugbo as the ‘Community Leader of the Year’ for his tremendous Support for Grass Root Development”. He added.
While receiving the award, the Omo Eni of Udu Kingdom appreciated the leadership of the Rotary club for finding him worthy of such award adding that his heart is settled on continuous support for Grassroots Development. He also ceased the medium to congratulate Rt. Hon. Goru Karo as the 2nd President of the Rotary Club of Nigeria, Plantation City Chapter. In his words, “I am delighted being honoured with this great award, it is a call to do more for my people at the grassroots”. “I have a mandate to develop my society especially at the grassroots level and that I must do until my last breath”. He added.
